Job summary

Global – a 1st Flagship Company is seeking a Rigger Helper at Pearl Harbor, Hawaiʻi. The role involves assisting riggers aboard ships and in shop settings using cranes, falls, and rigging gear, following safety procedures and directions from senior riggers.

The position requires minimal one year of rigging-related experience, knowledge of rigging equipment and safety practices, basic math, and the ability to read English at a high school level.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience working under a Rigger or related military experience.
• Basic knowledge of rigging principles, equipment, terminology and safety practices.
• Basic to advanced math skills and knowledge of rigging devices, small-boat operations and crane signaling.
• Ability to read English at high school level and communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors.
• Valid driver's license and ability to qualify to operate government and company vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Assist Riggers with routine rigging operations aboard ships and in shop environments.
• Help select, inspect, check in and check out, and properly mark weight-handling equipment.
• Assist with moving objects using cranes, chain falls, rope falls, gin poles and other gear.
• Apply rigging safety precautions and proper equipment handling practices.
• Support safe small-boat operations and ensure safety requirements are followed.
