Job summary

EMCOR Group seeks Rigger Helpers for a project in De Soto, KS, with benefits and paid time off after 3 months. The role involves assisting with rigging operations, selecting appropriate rigging hardware, and ensuring safe, efficient material handling on site.

Candidates must have strong communication skills, complete required safety training, and comply with SIC safety and quality procedures at all times. This is an on-site position requiring physical effort and adherence to site rules.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Completion of safety and general job training as required by SIC.
• Adherence to SIC and customer safety and quality processes at all times.

Responsibilities

• Assist with positioning chain falls, hoists, blocks, rope, jacks, chains and rigging as directed by the Rigger.
• Select cables, ropes, pulleys, winches, blocks, and sheaves based on load weight and size.
• Attach rigging to fixed overhead structures with beams, ceilings, and gin pole booms using bolts and clamps.
• Inspect work sites for obstructions and hazards.
• Provide verbal and hand signal guidance as assigned.
• Plan installation sequences to avoid obstructions and conflicts with other workers.
• Secure materials and rigging gear for transport.
• Maintain housekeeping of work areas and packing materials.
• Lift and carry objects of varying weights.
• Recognize and respond to dangerous conditions promptly.
