Job Description

We are looking for experienced Riggers/Heavy Machinery Movers. Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment dedicated to the safe setup, loading, and relocation of heavy equipment. Candidates should have a general understanding of heavy equipment rigging, rigging equipment such as chains, binders, ratchet straps, as well as operation of forklifts, overhead lifts, jacks, rollers, hoists, and other machinery.

Essential Duties include:

• High level of mechanical aptitude
• Solid work ethic and team-oriented attitude
• Valid driver’s license; class A CDL promotion opportunities available
• Inspect and prepare loads for movement
• Determine proper lifting methods for each project
• Select and inspect rigging equipment before use
• Prepare rigging gear including beams, pulleys, clamps, and bolts
• Load and unload semi-trucks, ensuring secure strapping
• Operate overhead lifts, hoists, winches, cranes, jacks, rollers, forklifts, and related equipment safely
• Assess weights and center of gravity of items to be lifted
• Uncrate materials using power tools
• Wrap, band, and pack equipment
• Communicate effectively with team members, customers, and other on-site personnel
• Disassemble rigging equipment and conduct post-rigging inspections
• Regularly inspect and repair equipment or remove from service as needed
• Adhere to safety procedures and regulations

Physical Requirements:

• Lift, carry, push, pull a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Perform tasks requiring frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, and twisting
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Work at heights and in noisy environments

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Preferred: Two (2) years of Driver/Rigger/Machinery Mover experience
• Forklift experience and/or certification
• Ability to operate computers for training and operational tasks
• Familiarity with logistics or machinery moving industry
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and moving equipment
