MEI Industrial Solutions in the United States offers a Rigging Apprenticeship Trainee Program designed to build core rigging skills for individuals starting a career as a rigger. The multi-phase program emphasizes safety, teamwork, and hands-on training through field labs and seminars beginning July 2026.
Participants must have a High School diploma or GED, be fluent in English, and commit to in-person seminars every six weeks over two years, with travel as needed.

MEI is tasked daily with moving heavy, expensive, and many times highly sensitive, equipment in construction and operating facility environments for customers both large and small. This type of industrial liability necessitates a dedication to safety, professionalism, and expertise at every level and at all times. The Rigging Apprenticeship Program has been developed by industry experts and is designed to teach the core rigging skills necessary for individuals without any knowledge of the machinery moving industry or without rigging skills to start a fulfilling career as a skilled Rigger with opportunities to advance and grow in the industry through targeted skills development and training oversight. Courses include hands-on training, activities, and assessments, which may be conducted in lab or field environments.
Upon completing this multi-phase program, participants will have gained the proficiency in the knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs) necessary to perform in various Machinery Moving/Rigging positions.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions: Performing General Physical Activities -- Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials up to 50 pounds. Must be willing to work in an outdoor environment year-round.

All candidates must complete pre-employment contingencies upon accepting an offer with MEI that includes a 5-panel drug test and a Criminal Background Check.
