Job summary

The Shaw Group is seeking a Rigger for our Beaumont, TX fabrication facility. This role involves safely attaching, guiding, and securing loads using cranes and hoists, with bolt-up assembly for structural components.

Experience and NCCER Certification are considered for progression levels I–III. Responsibilities cover reading plans, inspecting materials in all weather, visualizing layouts, and selecting equipment for precise installation, including positioning and fitting components together as

Job description

The Rigger is responsible for safely attaching, securing, and guiding loads for lifting and moving materials and equipment using cranes, hoists, and other lifting devices. Provides support for new and existing work within the business line. Personnel will be providing bolt-up assembly for structural components in a fabrication facility; individuals may be required to work outside. Rigger levels (I, II, and III) are assigned based on experience, skill level, and certifications in accordance with company progression standards.

Responsibilities (All levels):

• Reads and interprets instructions and documentation andplanswork activities.

Education and Experience:

• Education and/or experienceare equalto a 1-year certificate from college or technical school.
• Mustpossessmathematical skills, reasoning ability, and ability to handle the physical demands of the job.
• Entry level to advancedrelated experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experiencebased onthe progression schedule below.
