Job summary

Baker Construction is seeking a Rigger to join our field team. The role involves constructing, erecting, stripping, and repairing steel, wood, and plywood structures under supervision of a foreman.

You will work on footing, wall, column, and deck forms, and manage loads using rigging equipment and an all-terrain forklift. Requirements include a High School Diploma and at least 2 years of related experience or training.

The Rigger will perform under the supervision of a foreman/lead duties including constructing, erecting, stripping, and/or repairing structures of steel, wood, plywood using carpenter's hand and power tools conforming to construction documents. Will be exposed to all the following duties but may specialize in one or more areas.

• Builds and Installs Wall and Column Forms
• Builds and Installs Structural Deck Forms
• Sets Slab-on-Grade Forms
• Preps and Sets Tilt-up/Precast Forms
• Works with Building Layout
• Ensures a Safe Work Environment
• Participates in Training/Certifications
• Must be experience performing rigging operations such as tying up, balancing, manipulating and moving heavy loads
• Ensure the safe and efficient handling of loads using rigging equipment
• Hoist heavy construction materials such as concrete , or rebar
• Move heavy equipment through confined spaces safely
• Use cables, pulleys, ropes, and mobile platforms to lift and move large objects
• Must know how to operate an all-terrain forklift
• Rigging and Forklift certification prefer

Requirements

High School Diploma and a minimum of 2 years of related experience and/or training.
