Job summary

Mazzella, a family-owned company with 800+ employees and 30 locations, is seeking a Production Worker to produce wire rope assemblies safely and efficiently according to methods and work instructions.

The role requires reading drawings, calculating cut lengths, setting up and maintaining production equipment, and inventory reporting. Strong math, communication, and mechanical aptitude are essential, with background checks and fitness tests included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; trade school or military experience a plus
• Experience in rigging and lifting preferred
• Must be able to lift or pull a minimum of 50 pounds
• Requires solid written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and strong mathematical abilities
• Excellent PC literacy and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Review, interpret and understand codes, instructions and specifications of Fab Tickets along with special drawings or blueprints
• Calculate wire rope cut lengths, fitting requirements and select appropriate equipment to produce all varieties of wire rope assemblies
• Setup, operate, adjust and maintain all wire rope production machines and equipment
• Select, write and attach proper tags and labels to products; locate and interpret appropriate capacity tables
• Count, record and report inventory as required
• Perform all duties to established quality standards and report defective or substandard material supplies or products
• Maintain work area, equipment and tools in a clean and organized manner, and follow all Safety Guidelines
• Other duties as assigned

• Base Pay $18.00 - $22.00 / Hour
• Employee Type Non-Exempt FT

The Production Worker will perform all duties necessary to produce complete line of wire rope assemblies according to company methods, standards and work instructions utilizing the safest and most efficient means possible.
