Job summary

Primoris Energy Services is seeking an experienced Rig Welder for a long-term project in Galveston, TX. Must have a minimum of 3 years’ welding experience and be able to pass a welding qualification test coupon. Candidates should read and interpret prints and weld symbols accurately and follow OSHA safety guidelines.

Per diem and rig pay are offered after all requirements are met. Welders will perform code-compliant welds using GMAW, SMAW, GTAW and FCAW, and must be able to rig, hoist, and move

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ welding experience.
• Must pass weld qualification test coupon.
• Able to read and interpret prints and plans.
• Knowledge of OSHA guidelines and safe work practices.
• Skilled with GMAW, SMAW, GTAW & FCAW welding processes.

Responsibilities

• Observe and adjust welding parameters (speed, voltage, amperage, feed) as needed.
• Read and interpret prints and plans.
• Perform code-compliant welds using GMAW, SMAW, GTAW & FCAW.
• Use fabrication hand tools (grinders, drills, air tools).
• Rig, lift and move materials.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Adhere to safety rules and regulations.
