Job summary

M&R Trucking in New Mexico is seeking a Rig Up Driver to support transportation operations in the oilfield. You will drive, coordinate transport plans, perform pre-trip checks, load equipment, and communicate with dispatch to receive assignments.

You must pass pre-employment drug screening, have CDL Class A (Hazmat preferred), and be able to work outdoors in all weather. This role requires attention to safety and the ability to follow instructions precisely.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid CDL A license and be able to obtain Hazmat if required.
• Proven ability to read, write and follow safety procedures.
• Experience with vehicle pre-trip checks and logbook entries.

Responsibilities

• Participate in pre-trip preparations of vehicle.
• Ensure equipment is loaded prior to departure.
• Fill out Log Book accurately.
• Coordinate with dispatch for job assignments and maps.
• Conduct JSA before entering job site and plan entry route.
• Prepare invoice tickets for damaged equipment.
• Complete safety reports and logs (JSA, waybills, inspections).
• Maintain confidentiality of business information.
• Dispatch, oversee and direct swamper; train swampers.
• General training for swampers.

The Rig Up Driver will perform a variety of routine and complex transportation work in driving and coordinating transportation plans.

• Participate in pre-trip preparations of vehicle


• Ensure proper equipment is loaded on vehicle prior to leaving the yard


• Fill out Log Book


• Coordinate with dispatch office for job assignments, maps, special instructions, etc…


• Conduct JSA before entering job site and plan entry route


• Prepare invoice tickets for any damaged equipment


• Complete Job Safety Analysis reports, logs, way bills, vehicle inspection, fuel reports, expense reports


• Employees in this position are considered confidential, maintaining the utmost confidentiality in dealing with business information


• Dispatch, oversee and direct swamper


• General training for swampers

• Must be able to work outside in all types of weather


• Must be able to be on 24 hour call on scheduled days

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, reach with hands and arms, bend, sit, talk, and listen. The employee is required to use hands to handle, operate or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.


• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision; distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus


• Must possess a valid driver’s license and CDL Class A (Hazmat Endorsement is preferred)


• Must be able to drive and operate a water truck

Employees do not have to have prior training but will be asked to complete some of the required training prior to being on the job site. The training required can vary depending on the specific job.
