Job summary

Kennywood Park is seeking a Rides Maintenance Assistant to support the maintenance team in repair and maintenance tasks for park attractions. Responsibilities include assisting with repairs, maintaining the cleanliness of the maintenance shop, and shadowing experienced mechanics for skill development.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, with prior maintenance experience preferred. The position offers flexible scheduling and unique learning opportunities across various departments.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age to comply with Pennsylvania Child Labor Laws.
• Must possess basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, and small engine repair.
• Ability to read and comprehend maintenance manuals and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Assist with repair and maintenance of park property.
• Help the maintenance team in maintaining park attractions.
• Keep the maintenance shop organized and clean.

Skills

Mechanical aptitude

Ability to use hand and power tools

Fluent English

Education

High School diploma or equivalent

1+ years previous work experience in maintenance or mechanics (preferred)
