Job summary

Lyft is seeking a Data Scientist for the Rider team to drive data-driven decision making and shape product vision across rider and partner platforms.

You will apply advanced analytics, design experiments, and collaborate with product, engineering, research, and marketing to deliver end-to-end data solutions. Strong leadership and communication are essential for guiding stakeholders and mentoring teammates.

Qualifications

• MS/PhD in a quantitative field or equivalent
• Strong SQL proficiency for large data sets
• Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis and visualization
• Experience leading a team of data scientists or similar
• Experience designing and analyzing complex A/B experiments
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience with ETL pipelines a plus

Responsibilities

• Drive roadmaps across Rider, Loyalty and Partnerships teams
• Collaborate with product, engineering, design, research, marketing and business development
• Shape product vision and business strategy through data-driven presentations
• Lead modeling, analytics, experimentation and causal inference tasks
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members
• Lead code reviews and promote best practices
• Build alignment with cross-functional teams to balance marketplace needs
