Job summary

Universal Orlando Resort seeks an experienced engineer to lead design and modification of mechanical/structural ride systems, ensuring safety, reliability and compliance with industry standards.

You will manage projects from concept through installation, perform engineering calculations, and coordinate with ride supervisors, vendors and operations teams to deliver effective performance improvements across the park.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of project engineering experience in mechanical/structural systems for dynamic motion rides or similar.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

  • Design modifications to ride and show systems to improve safety and reliability.
  • Manage projects from design through installation, including schedules and budgets.
  • Prepare scope of work documents and acceptance test procedures.
  • Coordinate with ride supervisors, managers and technicians.
  • Interface with vendors and ride manufacturers for specs and evaluations.
  • Perform engineering calculations for mechanical/structural systems.
