Job summary

American Dream's Nickelodeon Universe seeks a Rides Controls Maintenance Technician to install, maintain and repair industrial control systems for all rides. You will troubleshoot electro-mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic subsystems, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and document activities in the CMMS.

Responsibilities require PLC experience, low-voltage work certification, and strong communication skills to coordinate with manufacturers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years troubleshooting electro-mechanical systems including hydraulic and pneumatic components.
• NAARSO or AIMS certification, or plan to obtain within 2 years.
• Proficient oral and written communication skills.
• 1+ year working with PLC systems.
• Certification to work on low voltage electrical systems without supervision.
• Ability to use a multimeter and electrical/communication tools.
• 3+ years PLC experience preferred.
• Experience in theme/amusement park setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair low voltage electrical and ride control systems to OEM specs.
• Diagnose and repair communication systems (COAX, Fiber, Ethernet, twisted pair).
• Complete inspections including mechanical, electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, lubrication.
• Respond to corrective maintenance calls timely following policies.
• Perform timely repairs on ride systems per OEM requirements.
• Document maintenance and projects in CMMS (Mobaro).
• Communicate with manufacturers and support services professionally.
• Follow safety guidelines identified by American Dream.
• Complete RMS requirements; train new technicians on qualified rides.
• Maintain tools and equipment.
• Lead by example; contribute to guest and team experience.
• Work as a team to bring Nickelodeon Universe to life.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
