Summary of Position

Maintain excellent customer service in its atmosphere, to ensure guest satisfaction and a future return. Server assistants perform their jobs daily with attention to detail, maintaining an efficient pace, and assisting in minimizing waste and spillage.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Provide guests with water, coffee/tea, and bread service throughout the meal.
2. Remove used and unneeded dishes and glassware from guests' tables to the dish area; scrape and stack dishes.
3. Maintain cleanliness and safety of all common areas and service stations; clean up spills and broken items; remove empty bottles for recycling/trash.
4. Re-set tables in the assigned section as guests depart; assist servers as needed; respond promptly to guest requests and communicate with servers immediately.
5. Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as assigned by management.
6. Monitor and observe guests' dining experience; ensure satisfaction with food and service; respond courteously to requests.
7. Assist fellow staff members as situations arise.
8. Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return.

Job Qualifications

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience

Previous experience in full-service restaurants is preferred but not required.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate and understand English fluently, both spoken and written.
• Ability to work standing for long periods, reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Punctuality, reliable attendance, and transportation.
• Honesty, integrity, good hygiene, coordination, efficiency, organization, and professionalism.
• Ability to work in a team and with the public in a courteous manner.
