Summary of Position

Maintain excellent customer service in its atmosphere, to ensure guest satisfaction and a future return. Server assistants perform their jobs daily with attention to detail, maintain an efficient pace, and help minimize waste and spillage.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Provide guests with water, coffee/tea, and bread service throughout the meal.
2. Remove used and unneeded dishes and glassware from guests' tables to the dish area; scrape and stack dishes.
3. Maintain cleanliness and safety of all common areas and service stations; clean up spills; remove and recycle/trash empty bottles.
4. Re-set all tables in the assigned section as guests depart; assist servers as needed; respond promptly to guest requests and communicate with servers immediately.
5. Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as assigned by management.
6. Monitor and observe guests' dining experience; ensure guest satisfaction with food and service; respond courteously to requests.
7. Assist fellow staff members as situations arise.
8. Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in full-service restaurants is preferred but not required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to stand for long periods, reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Reliable attendance, punctuality, and transportation.
• Honesty, integrity, good hygiene, organization, and the ability to multitask in a team environment.
• Professional, courteous, and friendly demeanor when interacting with the public.
