Job summary

The Rhode Island Working Families Party seeks a full-time, permanent Political Organizer to lead the growth of our grassroots base and organizing operation in Rhode Island in support of our electoral goals and policy priorities.

This role involves recruiting, training, and organizing WFP members and volunteer leaders to help our candidates win and our campaigns succeed, with supervision by the RI State Director and opportunities for professional development in management, organizing,

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of relevant professional experience.
• Commitment to social, economic, and racial justice.
• Experience with electoral campaigns. Familiarity with community organizing tools and tactics.
• Ability to engage activists and communicate WFP's work compellingly.
• Demonstrated independence and collaboration with partners and colleagues.
• Willingness for regular in-state travel.
• Spanish fluency and a driver's license are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate, grow, and organize RIWFP membership and volunteers.
• Lead efforts to organize Rhode Islanders into WFPF and expand the Party's base.
• Develop a cohesive membership program and strategy with leadership.
• Plan and execute member meetings, events, and trainings.
• Manage member communications and digital organizing activities.
• Support fundraising and coordinate with the State Director and Campaigns team.
• Build relationships with activists, coalitions, and partner organizations.
