Job summary

The Rhode Island Working Families Party seeks a full-time Political Organizer to grow our grassroots base and organizing operation in Rhode Island in support of our electoral goals and policy priorities.

The RI Political Organizer is responsible for developing, executing, and iterating on a program to recruit, train, and organize WFP members and volunteer leaders to help our candidates win and our campaigns succeed.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of relevant professional experience.
• Demonstrated commitment to social, economic, and racial justice.
• Familiarity with electoral campaigns and community organizing.

Responsibilities

• Grow Rhode Island WFP membership base and organize activists.
• Plan and run member meetings, trainings, and events.
• Manage member communications and digital organizing (emails, social media, texts).
• Support candidate recruitment, training, and campaign planning.
• Lead activist leader teams for canvassing and volunteer engagement.
• Build coalitions and relationships with partner organizations.
