Job summary

Chrome Hearts LLC in Los Angeles seeks a CAD Designer to translate 2D sketches into sophisticated 3D Rhino models, maintaining the original design language for jewelry and accessories. The role involves creating manufacturable models, 3D-printed or metal prototypes, and detailed 2D drawings to convey design intent to production teams.

The ideal candidate will have strong Rhino skills, experience with 3D rendering (KeyShot), and proficiency in Adobe Illustrator.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years Rhino experience building complex design models.
• Ability to focus for long periods with high attention to detail.
• Proficient with Adobe Illustrator.
• Proficient in KeyShot 3D rendering and animation; render materials for colorways.

Responsibilities

• Take design concepts from 2D sketches to a working 3D Rhino model while preserving initial design intent.
• Prototype with 3D printed or metal-cast samples for approvals.
• Incorporate on-the-fly revisions to reach final approved designs.
• Produce detailed 2D drawings communicating the 3D design, including radiuses and surfaces.
