Job summary

The University of Washington invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor WOT in the Division of Rheumatology at UWMC Seattle. The anticipated start date is July 1, 2027, with a 12-month service period and pay structure described below.

The successful candidate will lead a nationally recognized research program in the pathogenesis of arthritis or rheumatic diseases, perform outpatient attending duties, and teach residents and fellows while mentoring postdoctoral researchers.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited program.
• Board certification or eligibility in rheumatology.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in Washington.
• Experience securing extramural funding for research.

Responsibilities

• Lead a nationally recognized research program in arthritis or rheumatic diseases.
• Outpatient attending duties and teaching residents and fellows.
• Mentor research scientists and postdoctoral researchers; contribute to teaching and service.
