Job summary

Skagit Regional Health is expanding its rheumatology team in Mount Vernon, WA to meet growing demand. The role offers outpatient care in a state-of-the-art clinic with infusion rooms nearby and a hospital-employed structure.

You will join a collaborative group of two physicians and three PAs, with a 36-hour weekly patient contact load and a 4-day work week. No inpatient responsibilities, ample opportunity for professional growth and community impact.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an ACGME accredited fellowship program.
  • Board Eligible/Board Certification required.
  • Active Washington State license or ability to obtain a WA license by start.
  • Active BLS certification before starting or within first week of employment.
  • Experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a team of two physicians and three PAs in a outpatient rheumatology setting.
  • Provide outpatient rheumatology care with a focus on rheumatoid disorders.
  • Rotation between main office and satellite clinic, with a 36-hour scheduled patient contact hour week.
  • No inpatient responsibilities and strong emphasis on work-life balance.

Highlights
  • Thrive in a collaborative environment alongside two (2) physicians and three (3) PAs. Physician Assistants assist with consults, follow-up clinic appointments and patient overflow.
  • This is a full time position with a 36 hour scheduled patient contact hour work expectation. Shared weekly clinic phone call rotation of 1:3 taking minimal calls from office patients.
  • Benefit from an excellent work-life balance, with a 4-day work week and no inpatient responsibilities. Rotation between main office and satellite clinic (located roughly 30 minutes away) may be required.
  • Our practice caters to a diverse adult patient base with a variety of rheumatoid disorders.
  • Practice in a state-of-the-art outpatient clinic with lab and imaging on site. Infusion rooms located at Skagit Valley Hospital, just 5 minutes away.
  • This is a hospital employed position with support from our in-house primary and specialty care referral base.
  • Integrated EPIC EMR platform utilized system-wide throughout the organization with newly implemented ambient AI technology (Abridge) available!
Qualifications

  • Guaranteed first year salary: $304,913
