Job summary

Skagit Regional Health in Mount Vernon, WA seeks an OB Hospitalist to join our team at Skagit Valley Hospital. You will provide L&D triage, obstetric consults, and backup to midwives and other delivering providers, contributing to a high-quality Family Birth Center with 21 renovated LDRP rooms and two ORs.

This is a 0.5 FTE position requiring 42 shifts per year, offering opportunities to mentor SRH Family Medicine residents and medical students, with integrated EPIC EMR and strong community

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an ACGME accredited residency program.
  • Board Certification in OBGYN is required.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of practice experience is required.
  • Active Washington State license or ability to obtain a Washington State license before start.
  • Current AHA NRP certification and Electronic Fetal Monitoring certificate required before start.

Responsibilities

  • Provide L&D triage and obstetric consultations with GYN backup.
  • Provide backup to midwife group, FM/OB providers, and other community delivering providers.
  • Mentor SRH Family Medicine Residents and outside Medical Students.
  • Work 0.5 FTE with 42, 24-hour shifts per year.
  • Operate within EPIC EMR system.

Highlights
  • Become an integral part of our team of five (5) OB Hospitalists, providing 24/7 coverage to our Family Birth Center. Our center boasts our 21, newly renovated, LDRP rooms and 2 ORs with dedicated Anesthesia support and onsite Pediatric Hospitalists for our Level II Special Care Nursery.
  • In this position, you will be responsible for providing L&D triage, ED consultation (with GYN back up always available) and provide backup to our employed midwife group, FM/OB providers, and other community delivering providers.
  • This is a 0.5 FTE position with an expectation of working 42, 24 hour, shifts a year.
  • This role offers a unique chance to mentor and work alongside our SRH Family Medicine Residents and outside Medical Students, contributing to their educational journey while enhancing your leadership skills.
  • Integrated EPIC EMR platform utilized system-wide throughout the organization.
Qualifications
