Job description

This regional medical center in Valdosta, GA is seeking a board certified/board eligible Rheumatologist. The medical center is the most comprehensive health system serving South Georgia and North Florida. The system operates four hospitals across Lowndes, Berrien, and Lanier counties. It also manages ambulance services, an extensive medical office network, a cancer center, hospice facility, retirement center, skilled nursing facility, imaging centers, and urgent cares. Key service lines include heart and vascular, stroke, trauma, cancer, orthopedics, surgery, and women and infants.

Position Description:

1. Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8 am - 5 pm
2. No Call
3. Hospital-based employment

Qualifications:

1. Board eligible or certified in Internal Medicine
2. Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in Georgia
3. Ability to collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team and with referring physicians
4. Passionate about quality, safety, service excellence, process improvement, and team building; EPIC EMR experience is a plus
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to foster a positive, innovative, and collegial environment
