Rheumatologist opening in State College, PA

Area is surrounded by state parks. Located 140 miles from Pittsburgh; 170 miles from Baltimore, MD.

Position Details:

• Full-time, permanent
• Candidates must be BC/BE
• Seeking a skilled, BC/BE Rheumatologist to join a group of well-established providers. Located in State College, PA, the medical center is a 260-bed acute care facility that offers all of the amenities of a college town—including short commutes, NCAA sports, arts, high-quality schools, and outdoor recreation with beautiful hiking and biking trails.
• Community-based medicine experience is a plus.
• The physician will be provided with a robust recruitment package.

The Position:

• Inpatient/Outpatient - very low inpatient volume
• Join 1 Physician and 1 APP
• Office staff includes: 1 Front Desk, 1 RN, 1 MA
• 1:2 Call coverage, increasing to 1:3 with an additional provider
• Minimal inpatient work with low consult volume—9 consults for all of FY24
• EMR: Meditech Expanse
