Job summary

Essen Health Care in the Bronx is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Rheumatologist to join our growing specialty team. You will provide outpatient consultative and longitudinal care for patients with complex rheumatologic conditions in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

The ideal candidate holds an MD or DO, completed a rheumatology fellowship, is licensed or eligible for New York, and demonstrates strong communication and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Rheumatology fellowship.
• Board Certified/Eligible in Rheumatology.
• Active New York State medical license (or eligibility to obtain).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; commitment to patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for patients with autoimmune and musculoskeletal diseases.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests including labs and imaging studies.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Collaborate with primary care providers and specialists for coordinated care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to clinical excellence.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record.
