Arthritis and Rheumatism Associates, PC in Chevy Chase, MD seeks an Advanced Practice Provider – Physician Assistant to deliver comprehensive rheumatology care under supervising physicians.

The role emphasizes assessment, diagnosis, medication management, and coordination of services with a full-time schedule and opportunities for office-based procedures in a collaborative clinical team.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program and current PA licensure in the applicable state.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to engage patients and collaborate with physicians and staff.
• Commitment to ongoing continuing education, including rheumatology-specific learning.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients with rheumatologic conditions under supervision of ARA physicians.
• Prescribe medications and perform office-based procedures as permitted by licensure and protocols.
• Order, review, and interpret diagnostic studies (labs, radiographs, DEXA).
• Refer patients for internal and external services (infusion therapy, physical therapy, etc.).
• Maintain accurate medical documentation in the EMR and adhere to policies and quality standards.
