Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking a Medical Science Liaison in Rheumatology for field-based engagement in the United States. You will build relationships with TLs, HCPs, and access stakeholders, delivering scientific insights, supporting trials, and advancing disease-state initiatives.

The role requires 2+ years in a clinical/pharma setting, MSL experience preferred, strong communication, and the ability to operate independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• MD, PharmD, PhD, APP, PA, NP with experience in a specific Disease Area or with a broad medical background and relevant pharmaceutical experience
• 2+ years working in a clinical and/or pharmaceutical environment
• Prior MSL experience
• Ability to work independently and act as a team player
• Translating scientific or clinical data into an understandable and valuable form to help physicians best serve their patients
• Good communication and presentation skills to present scientific and/or clinical data to research or healthcare professionals
• Developing peer-to-peer relationships with TLs, scientists and other healthcare professionals
• Ability to quickly and comprehensively learn about new subject areas and environments
• Demonstration of the BMS Values
• Ability to drive a company-provided car is an essential qualification of this position. Travel required.

Responsibilities

• Develop geography-specific Field Medical and TL Interaction plans based on therapeutic area objectives and TLs needs.
• Attend medical congresses and local/regional meetings; collect and provide meaningful medical insights to support strategy development.
• Provide Medical Support to internal stakeholders (Commercial, Regulatory, Pharmacovigilance, Legal, HEOR).
• Support Clinical Trial Activities and Interventional/Non-Interventional Research studies to facilitate patient recruitment.
• Collaborate with CROs and investigators; ensure safety and data integrity.
• Demonstrate proficiency in scientific resources and present information to TLs/HCPs with accuracy and compliance.
