Job summary

Elliot Health System is seeking a compassionate per diem Medical Assistant to join the Rheumatology team in an outpatient setting in New Hampshire. The role involves patient education on chronic disease management, administration of biologic and specialty medications, and coordination with physicians and staff to deliver high-quality care.

Candidates should have MA education, BLS within 90 days, and 1 year of healthcare experience; rheumatology exposure is welcome but not required.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and clinical judgment are essential.
• Experience in ambulatory care is preferred.
• BLS certification within 90 days of employment is required/maintained.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with patient examinations, procedures and dressing changes.
• Prepare visit charts and document vitals, meds and test results.
• Administer medications and immunizations as directed.
• Handle specimen collection, POCT and venipuncture per policies.
• Process prescription refills and prior authorizations when needed.
• Maintain stocked clinical supplies and med areas.
