Washington University Rheumatology seeks a Medical Assistant III to support a large multi-physician clinic. The role involves preparing exam rooms, obtaining vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and medication administration under physician orders.

The incumbent will help manage patient flow, coordinate tests and appointments, and ensure accurate documentation. Strong communication and HIPAA compliance are essential in this onsite position.

Formación

• Registered or Certified Medical Assistant with three years of related work experience.
• Credentials obtained from in-person proctored exams from NHA, AAMA or AMT.
• Substitutions include nursing program graduate (RN/LPN) with one year relevant experience.
• Basic Life Support certification is required.

Responsabilidades

• Interact with patients, take vital signs, perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and medication verification.
• Prepare exam rooms, charts, and coordinate patient flow; assist with examinations and procedures.
• Administer medications under physician or nurse practitioner orders (injections covered).
• Schedule tests, coordinate care, and communicate test results to patients and staff.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and assist with training Medical Assistants as needed.
