Job summary

Planet Pharma in Boston seeks a Global Medical Indication Lead (Rheumatology) to lead the clinical team and translate the asset strategy into a Clinical Development Plan, ensuring time, quality, and budget.

You will oversee cross-functional collaboration, manage a team of Global Clinical Trial Physicians, provide strategic medical insight, ensure compliant studies, and drive harmonization across trials while engaging with IRBs, investigators, and management.

Qualifications

• MD with relevant specialty education, preferred in rheumatology, immunology or related fields.
• Experience leading cross-functional medical teams in pharma/biotech.
• Excellent English written and spoken; ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic medical insight and planning for the indication across development stages.
• Own the Clinical Development Plan and participate in long-range strategic planning.
• Line management of Global Clinical Trial Physicians; coach and set example for high-quality medical support.
• Oversee medical aspects of studies in real time and communicate with management and study teams.
• Ensure harmonization of communications to external stakeholders (IRBs, regulatory authorities) and maintain efficiency.
• Lead indication medical advisory boards as appropriate.
• Build and maintain a high-caliber team of development medical doctors.
• Ensure compliance of all studies in the indication.
