Job summary

The University of Pittsburgh Division of Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology seeks an outstanding clinician-educator at the Assistant Professor level (non-tenure track) with subspecialty expertise in systemic autoimmune diseases and musculoskeletal ultrasound. The physician will manage patients in inpatient and outpatient settings and will precept fellows, with a teaching appointment in Internal Medicine.

Effort is approximately 80% clinical and 20% academic (research and teaching); outpatient

Qualifications

• MD/DO with Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Rheumatology
• Experience teaching fellows and residents
• Proven ability to contribute academically and clinically

Responsibilities

• Staff outpatient clinics (5–6 half-day sessions/week).
• Inpatient rheumatology coverage at UPMC hospitals (~4 weeks annually).
• Participate in clinical trials as opportunities develop.
• Serve as a preceptor to fellows and residents and hold a teaching appointment in Internal Medicine.
