Job summary

ChristianaCare in Newark, DE, is recruiting BE/BC rheumatologists to join our established team and our new ACGME approved Rheumatology Fellowship Program. You will deliver patient-centered care, teach residents and medical students, and participate in a large integrated health system.

The role offers MSK ultrasound access, a 12–14 patient daily volume, and opportunities for remote appointments, with hospital call every 4–5 weeks.

Qualifications

• BC/BE in Rheumatology is required.
• Delaware State Medical License required and credentialing before start.

Responsibilities

• Join ChristianaCare rheumatology team and teaching faculty.
• Teach residents and medical students within a new ACGME approved fellowship program starting 7/1/26.
• Manage a panel with 12–14 patients per day; allocate 45 min for new patients and 30 min for follow-ups.
• Provide state-of-the-art, patient-centered rheumatology care; collaborate with a large employed medical group.
• Benefit from access to MSK ultrasound equipment at both locations and participate in remote appointments.
• Obtain core faculty designation and a faculty appointment at Thomas Jefferson University.
• Participate in hospital call every 4–5 weeks.

Position Highlights/Responsibilities:

• Become part of a large, financially-sound health system and employed medical group


• New ACGME approved Rheumatology Fellowship Program started 7/1/26. With 2 fellows per year


• Opportunity includes a broad array of duties with significant time for remote appointments and opportunity to teach residents and medical students

Annual Compensation Range $246,946.00 - $355,614.00

The above compensation range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting for full-time hours in the respective specialty. The actual compensation within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation the fair market value for physician services in the relevant specialty and the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, credentials, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements. The compensation range listed may encompass various forms of applicable compensation for this position, including, but not limited to, productivity incentives, value-based incentives and other ancillary forms of compensation dependent upon operational factors such as hours worked, call coverage and other factors. ChristianaCare will offer compensation at an appropriate point within the above range or, less frequently, may offer a level of compensation outside the listed range as warranted by the circumstances.
