Altru Health System is seeking a Rheumatologist to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients at the Altru Family Medicine Center in Grand Forks, ND. The role emphasizes comprehensive care for injuries and illnesses, patient engagement, and adherence to quality & safety goals.

The position requires board eligibility/certification in the relevant field, medical staff appointments, and valid licensure in ND or MN. A strong emphasis on documentation and reimbursement integrity is noted also.

Qualifications

• Doctorate within specified field of medical practice.
• Must be admissible to sit for relevant medical boards or be certified by the Canadian or American boards and be members of the Royal College of Physicians or Royal College of Surgeons, or equivalent board certification.
• Board certification in the area of specialty must be obtained within six years of employment.
• Must be granted medical staff appointments at Altru and associated facilities.
• Must be insurable under the health system’s professional liability carrier.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients at Altru.
• Counsels patients on preventive healthcare measures.
• Exercises professional judgment in alignment with Altru’s policies and standards.
• Achieves annual Patient Engagement and Quality Safety goals.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation to ensure quality patient care and appropriate reimbursement.
