Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Rheumatologist to join the Department of Medicine at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and North Central Bronx. The Hospitals are part of NYC Health + Hospitals which is the nation's largest public health system. Jacobi is a 457-bed, Level I Trauma Center and North Central Bronx has 213 licensed beds. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with Albert Einstein College of Medicine to maintain its high healthcare delivery standards. If desired, all Medicine Faculty Members have Albert Einstein College of Medicine appointments.

NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and North Central Bronx has a most vibrant Rheumatology practice. The practice boasts active Lupus Clinics, Joint Pain Clinics, Ultrasound Evaluation and Treatment Clinics, Arthritis Clinics, and a Biologic Infusion Center.

Opportunity Details

• Seeking full-time Clinical Educator to join the Department of Medicine.
• The Division of Rheumatology is an academic practice sponsored by the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and supported by the Montefiore Medical Center Rheumatology Fellows.
• The practice includes both inpatient and outpatient care and clinical supervision of fellows, residents, and medical students.
• At its peak, the practice has 1,700 unique patients between the two hospitals, with 52 receiving routine Biologic Infusion Therapy.
• The practice has an active Lupus Clinic, Joint Pain Clinics, Ultrasound Evaluation and Treatment Clinics and Arthritis Clinics.
• The Jacobi Inpatient service averages 7 consults per day, while North Central Bronx averages 3-5 consults per day.
• The service is a Division of the Department of Medicine with a vision for 4 full-time Rheumatologists.
• Department of Medicine has approximately 110 full-time physicians and 162 medical residents, within 15 Divisions of all medical specialties.
• Jacobi and North Central Bronx are teaching sites for the eight fellowships at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine - Montefiore Program.
