The position offers a substantial annual salary between $286,424 and $291,424, commensurate with experience, and requires BE/BC in Internal Medicine with fellowship in Rheumatology.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed or eligible for licensure to practice medicine in Connecticut.
• Board-eligible or board-certified in Internal Medicine.
• Completed ACGME-approved residency program in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Rheumatology.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive specialty medical care to patients, including diagnosis, treatment and prevention of illness and disease.
• Manage the rheumatology care for adult and geriatric patients, and prescribe appropriate medication.
• Actively participate in medical staff committees, contributing rheumatology expertise, support and assistance.
• Provide leadership and guidance to medical students, residents, subspecialty fellows and mid-level practitioners. Will participate in lectures, teaching rounds and other sessions that promote the education and development of trainees.
• Design, direct and participate in clinical investigations related to rheumatology, ensuring accurate and meaningful results and their interpretation.

Work is performed at approximately an equal amount between the two listed worksites. Travel is not required to any location other than the two worksites.

Job Duties:
