Job summary

Kavaliro seeks an experienced Systems Administrator – Infrastructure to support a large public-sector technology environment in Tampa. You will manage Linux (RHEL), Windows servers, AD, Entra ID, M365, Azure, VMware ESXi, and storage, ensuring 24/7 availability and security.

This is a contract-to-hire role with on-site onboarding and potential hybrid work later. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience across on-prem and cloud, plus automation skills, and the ability to troubleshoot

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field with ~5+ years of enterprise sysadmin experience
• Strong RHEL administration and VMware/VCF or storage experience

Responsibilities

• Administer and support enterprise Linux environments, with emphasis on RHEL
• Install, configure, troubleshoot, patch, upgrade, and maintain Linux and Windows servers and supporting infra
• Administer VMware environments (vSphere/ESXi) and related VMware technologies
• Support VMware Cloud Foundation environments where applicable
• Administer Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, OU, permissions, auditing, backup and recovery
• Administer Microsoft Entra ID and IAM technologies (Azure AD)
• Maintain and support Microsoft 365 and enterprise email environments
• Provide administration and operational support for Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure
• Configure and support AWS and other cloud environments as required
• Administer enterprise storage environments (SAN, NFS, Fibre Channel, LUNs)
• Provision and present storage to physical and virtual hosts
• Support enterprise SAN fabric and storage connectivity
• Support backup, recovery, and DR technologies
• Administer enterprise security technologies (SIEM, endpoint protection, MDM)
• Monitor infrastructure availability and performance using monitoring tools
• Perform routine security audits and vulnerability scans
• Create and maintain scripts for automation
• Create and manage GPOs
• Root-cause analysis for major incidents
• Build and deploy software packages via enterprise software distribution tools
• Maintain inventory and detailed system documentation
• Participate in projects across infrastructure, security, cloud, storage, virtualization
• Evaluate new technologies and vendor products
• Collaborate with multiple teams
• Participate in on-call rotations and after-hours maintenance
