Job summary

The RFID Lab at Auburn University is seeking motivated, detail-oriented individuals to perform RFID in-store testing and audits. This temporary role is field-work heavy, involving partner locations and occasional travel outside the Auburn area.

Responsibilities include RFID tag audits, barcode audits, data collection, and analysis to evaluate large-scale RFID deployments. Prior RF equipment or retail experience is preferred, and a high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• Preferred experience with RF equipment.
• Preferred experience in a retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform data collection tests to investigate the performance of large-scale RFID deployments.
• RFID tagging items in a retail environment and then testing with an RFID reader to determine tag quality/readability.
• Perform in-store barcode/inventory audits.
• May occasionally participate in in-lab demonstrations and testing.
• Operate, maintain and troubleshoot RF test equipment.
• Occasionally travel to partner locations outside the Auburn area.
