Job summary

Hamilton Connections, Inc. is seeking a 2nd shift Press Operator in Guilford, CT. The role focuses on operating the Gonderflex die cutting machine, handling RFID encoding, and ensuring high-quality cuts with minimal downtime.

The ideal candidate will have printing experience, be able to set up and monitor production jobs, and perform routine maintenance. The position is on-site, with a 4:00 PM – 1:00 AM schedule and opportunities for cross-training.

Qualifications

• Written and verbal communication required for shift operations.
• RFID technology knowledge including basic encoding and labeling concepts.
• Proficiency with Word and Excel for data entry, tracking, and reporting.
• Basic computer skills to navigate ERP and production software.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Gonderflex die cutting machine as the primary daily function, ensuring accurate cuts and quality output.
• Set up, run, and monitor production jobs per work orders and specs.
• Perform insertion operations loading and feeding materials with precision.
• Conduct routine machine inspections, adjustments, and minor maintenance.
• Monitor RFID encoding and label output for quality and escalate defects as needed.
• Record production data, downtime, and material usage in logs and systems.
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe work area per facility standards.
• Coordinate with production team and supervisor to meet daily targets.
• Support cross-training on additional equipment as needed.
