Job summary

Rohde & Schwarz USA is seeking a Product Application Engineer in Columbia, MD to provide solutions to complex engineering problems and troubleshoot product/system behavior. You will act as a consultant to engineers and help them select Rohde & Schwarz products for their applications.

You will understand customer requirements, demonstrate capabilities, and document issues, while traveling up to 20% including potential trips to Munich.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar position or relevant field.
• Knowledge of digital measurements and oscilloscope applications.
• Knowledge of RF applications and testing with spectrum analyzers, signal generators, VNAs, power meters.
• Knowledge of wireless standards (LTE, WLAN, WCDMA, BT).
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, C++, LabVIEW.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer application requirements and map them to Rohde & Schwarz solutions.
• Demonstrate product capability relevant to customer needs.
• Identify and recommend white papers, application notes, or other content to customers.
• Refer opportunities to sales per company processes.
• Perform product/application remote demonstrations.
• Provide basic hardware/software test engineering support to meet customer challenges.
• Compose written instructions on technical topics, solutions, and applications.
• Document and report unexpected behavior to product management and development.
