Job summary

AMERICAN FURNITURE RENTAL, INC. is seeking a Warehouse Specialist for the Woodridge, IL area. The role covers inbound/outbound merchandise, RF scanning, paperwork reconciliation, and posting deliveries while maintaining accurate inventory and a safe, organized warehouse.

The position requires standing most of the shift, lifting up to 75 pounds, and flexibility to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed. Prior warehouse experience is welcomed but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• No prior experience is required, but warehouse experience will be considered.
• Forklift license, certified by AFR.
• Standing and walking 90% of the time.
• Lifting up to 75 pounds, bending and climbing stairs.

Responsibilities

• Unload/Load trucks using an RF scanning device.
• Compare paperwork to NAV inventory system.
• Post all collections and deliveries.
• Stage merchandise to prepare for shipment.
• Operate forklift, palette jack and hand trucks following safety guidelines.
• Keep a neat and orderly workplace.
• Report safety concerns to management.
