Job summary

Viasat in Tempe, AZ is seeking an RF Test Technician to support multiple satellite, secure communications, government and commercial products in production and future Next Generator lines. You will troubleshoot RF devices, run tests, set up equipment, document findings, and help transition prototypes to high-rate production.

The role requires 4+ years in electronics, an associate degree in a technical field, and experience reading schematics.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of related experience in electronics field.
• Associate's degree in a technical field or equivalent RF testing experience.
• Experience in testing electronic products.
• Ability to read schematics and understand electronic circuits.
• Familiarity with common test equipment and troubleshooting methods.
• Ability to follow a test procedure and complete necessary paperwork.
• Good working knowledge of MS Office for documentation creation and modification.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting and debugging RF devices down to component level.
• Run tests on Viasat products and report results.
• Perform testing; installation, set-up, tuning and data analysis.
• Assist in building, troubleshooting and maintenance of specialized test equipment used in product testing.
• Assist in documentation writing such as Assembly Drawings, BoM's, Wiring Diagrams, ATP's, etc.
