Job summary

Actalent in Virginia Beach is seeking an RF Technician to support integration and test execution across lab and field environments. You will help set up, configure, and operate RF and related test equipment and document test results to evaluate system performance.

The role requires roughly 50% travel (CONUS/OCONUS) and is onsite at Dam Neck. You will read schematics, troubleshoot hardware and networks, and develop technical documentation, including test reports and procedures.

Qualifications

• Five (5)+ years of progressive experience supporting production, integration, installation, repair, troubleshooting, or maintenance of electronic systems or equipment.
• Working knowledge of RF systems, theory, and operations.
• Experience with Linux system administration (e.g., drive mounting, permissions, RAID configuration, basic system management).
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documentation.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware, network infrastructure, or integrated systems.

Job Title: RF Technician

As an RF Technician, you will support integration and test execution across lab and field environments. Essential Skills

• Five (5)+ years of progressive experience supporting production, integration, installation, repair, troubleshooting, or maintenance of electronic systems or equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred: RF, RDT&E, Engineering Technician roles, Cryptologic Technician (CTM), or SIGINT environments.
• Real hands-on experience with troubleshooting, test and evaluation, or installation of RF equipment.

Work Environment

The role is primarily onsite at Dam Neck with standard hours from 7 AM to 4 PM. The position requires approximately 50% travel, which includes around two weeks at a time every month on average. The work environment involves working with advanced technologies and equipment in both lab and field settings.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $58000.00 - $80000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
