Job summary

Actalent seeks an RF / Electronics Engineer for contract-to-hire work out of Schaumburg, IL. The role focuses on hardware/system integration, design, testing, and production deployment, with DoD clearance eligibility and strong RF performance analysis capabilities.

You’ll interface with customers, document specifications, and support TRRs, with remote-work options and ongoing ISO-compliant process maintenance. This role emphasizes data handling, MATLAB expertise, and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline with 5+ years of related experience.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
• US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance.
• Proficient in MATLAB.
• Experience processing large amounts of data.
• Understanding of RF Performance Analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, perform hardware/system integration and test, and support deployment of systems and system modifications.
• Troubleshoot hardware (systems and subassemblies) to determine root cause of failures and identify corrective actions.
• Support transitions from design to production.
• Maintain process and procedures in accordance with ISO standards.
• Provide technical support to Northrop depot and USAF technicians and work with suppliers to resolve technical hardware issues.
• Create engineering documentation (specifications, change notices, parts lists, bills of materials, test reports, test procedures).
• Interface with and present to internal and external customers.
• Subsystem integration, test, and system integration.
• Conducting Test Readiness Reviews (TRR).
• Perform in-depth analysis of hardware commanding down to the register level.

Basic Qualifications Principal Electronics Engineer:

Job Type & Location

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80.00 - $95.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
