Job Title: Electronics Engineering Technician V

Location: Longmont, CO

Type: Contract/CTH

Pay Range: $40 - $52/hr

Overview

Join a fast-growing space technology company focused on developing innovative satellite mechanisms, deployable structures, antennas, and RF systems. We are seeking an experienced Electronics Engineering Technician V for a hands-on contract role supporting assembly, testing, and integration of advanced electronic and RF systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform electronics assembly, testing, and verification of active and passive RF systems.
• Read and interpret complex technical schematics and Interface Control Documents (ICDs).
• Execute high-precision soldering and rework (0402 and up, including QFN, QFP, TSOP).
• Build and test multi-wire cable harnesses; perform harness verification.
• Support rapid prototyping, integration, and troubleshooting using test equipment (VNAs, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.).
• Contribute to lab and bench testing of microwave circuits and RF electronics.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience with analog, digital, and RF systems.
• Proficiency with RF circuits and soldering tools (hot tweezers, reflow ovens, etc.).
• High attention to detail, excellent manual dexterity, and familiarity with high-reliability quality standards.
• Strong ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, prototype-driven environment.

Preferred Certifications

• IPC J-STD-001 with Space Addendum
• IPC 7711/7721 CIS (Rework)

Nice to Have

• Experience with antenna systems, RF measurements, and Altium Designer.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent hands-on technical experience.
