Job summary

Precise Systems, Inc. in Crane, Indiana, seeks an RF Engineer, Journeyman to support the design, integration, test and evaluation of RF and EW systems, with emphasis on RF signal analysis and waveform generation, laboratory and field testing, and rigorous test documentation.

You’ll work in secure environments, travel as required, and collaborate with systems engineering, software, modeling, and T&E teams to improve test rigor and mission relevance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Concentration in microwave engineering, RF theory, electromagnetics, or communications preferred.
• 3+ years of related RF design/test experience.
• Hands-on RF measurement with spectrum analyzers, VNAs, and signal generators.
• Understanding of RF transmit/receive architectures and integration considerations.
• Strong written and verbal communication, able to document findings clearly.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Support design, development, integration, testing, and evaluation of RF and EW systems.
• Perform RF signal analysis, waveform generation, and modulation assessment.
• Use RF lab equipment to construct, measure, and evaluate RF signals and waveforms.
• Support laboratory, field, and operational test events with setup and data collection.
• Assist with RF modeling/ simulation and assessment of RF coverage and antenna effectiveness.
• Contribute to test procedures, technical reports, and recommendations for decision-making.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across systems engineering, software, modeling, and T&E.
• Provide technical readiness and calibration awareness in lab/field environments.
• Travel to support customer test events and mission needs.
