Job summary

QED Systems, LLC is seeking an Electrical Engineer, RF at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD to support the C5ISR PNT Division. You will design, simulate, and implement RF systems and DSP algorithms to meet government mission requirements.

Responsibilities include architecture analysis, IQ data processing, MATLAB/Simulink/Python/C/C++ development, HIL testing, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Requires active Secret clearance and a BS with 4+ years experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related electronics/electrical discipline.
• At least four (4) years of experience with progressively more complex hardware design, development, integration and analysis.
• Active Secret clearance required.
• Strong analytical and communication skills with ability to present to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, simulate, and implement advanced RF systems and DSP algorithms for government/defense requirements.
• Develop and analyze RF system architectures, including link budgets and antenna performance evaluation.
• Transform IQ data into actionable intelligence via signal processing techniques.
• Prototype, test, and validate DSP algorithms using MATLAB, Simulink, Python, and C/C++ environments.
• Perform filtering, spectral analysis, modulation/demodulation, and multi-rate signal processing for RF applications.
• Support hardware-in-the-loop testing and RF system integration.
• Utilize SDRs, spectrum analyzers, and other RF test equipment for system testing and troubleshooting.
• Develop machine learning and data fusion techniques to enhance RF signal analysis.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deploy RF and signal processing solutions.
• Prepare technical documentation and briefings for government stakeholders.
