VELCO in Rutland, Vermont, seeks an RF Engineer to support the statewide wireless network, fiber and microwave backhaul infrastructure. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and maintain radio communication systems using Tait Technologies products (DMR, MPT-IP) and related infrastructure.

This role involves network design, planning, troubleshooting, and coordination with engineering, finance and operations.

Formación

• BS in Engineering, Engineering Technology or related technical discipline.
• Wireless/Radio Frequency technology experience with DMR and trunked radio systems preferred.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Support the management of VELCO’s trunked radio system, microwave, and optical transport networks.
• Test, certify equipment commissioning, maintenance, and operation per industry standards.
• Help develop end-user training plans.
• Provide engineering support to field personnel at radio sites, distribution utilities and substations.
• Monitor radio traffic patterns and use RF propagation analysis software.
• Perform new and repair service requests.
• Adhere to FERC and NERC standards.
