Job summary

ITERRA seeks a highly capable RF engineer to join a small, trusted team building passive sensing hardware for UAS detection. You will own antenna fabrication, RF front end tradeoffs, and waveform analysis of IQ data in a fielded development environment.

The role requires hands-on prototyping, lab measurements, and on-site work in Puerto Rico. Candidates should have a strong background in RF engineering and SD R tools, and be prepared to contribute across the full hardware stack.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Physics; recent graduates to ~5 years of experience.
• Hands-on work in RF design, measurement, and prototyping.
• Proven ability to build, test, and document RF hardware.

Responsibilities

• Antenna fabrication and measurement, including in-house designs and validation.
• RF front end design and gain distribution, noise figure, and dynamic range management.
• Waveform analysis of UAS control and video signals from raw IQ data.
• Test bench setup, calibration, and reproducible procedures.
• Over-the-air collection and handling of field targets across terrains.
• Ground truth labeling, data hygiene, and versioning for training data.
• Documentation of performance against published criteria for federal proposals.
• Collaboration with mechanical engineering on enclosure effects and integration.
