Job summary

SPX Technologies is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager for the CommTech group in Fremont. You will lead a large engineering team across embedded software, firmware, RF and antenna development, and systems engineering, guiding resource planning, processes, and staffing to meet program goals.

You will mentor senior engineers, collaborate with the CTO/Director of Engineering, and help drive new product development and revenue-generating projects in a dynamic, hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• MSEE or MSCS with emphasis on RF communication systems. MBA (or equivalent) would be helpful.
• 5 years' experience in RF based system level engineering with exposure to hardware and software.
• 5 years of increasing management responsibility including technical leadership, staffing, project management and customer facing interaction.
• U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident or U.K. citizen

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic initiatives and KPIs with the Director of Engineering.
• Plan resources and staffing for current and upcoming projects.
• Develop tools to assess staffing adequacy against projected workloads.
• Enforce processes for NPD, Testing and Release, ECR and Bug Tracking.
• Interface with internal stakeholders to meet commitments.
• Provide on-site engineering presence in Fremont to support decision-making.
• Mentor Senior Engineers and Engineering Group Leaders.
• Contribute to planning of resource and budget and product design input.
