NRAO in Socorro, NM seeks a Zone Regulatory Services Assistant to support RF spectrum management within the NMRCZ, ensuring accurate evaluations of transmitter installations and configurations. You will maintain the application database, analyze frequencies for compatibility, and collaborate with engineers in the New Mexico Interference Protection Group.

A.A./B.S. in admin/engineering or related field is preferred; 2+ years in data management and RF knowledge are expected.

Qualificações

• Associate's degree or equivalent in admin/engineering or related field.
• Bachelor degree or equivalent in engineering/computer science preferred.
• Experience with propagation modeling, databases and data management.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in evaluating preliminary requests and final applications for RF transmitter installations affecting NMRCZ.
• Research and verify technical equipment specifications for accuracy.
• Maintain the application database and generate searchable reports.
• Analyze NMRCZ frequencies for compatibility taking emission, power and antenna height into account.
• Use RF interference data to classify sources and suggest mitigation techniques.
• Collaborate with engineers and staff in the New Mexico Interference Protection Group.
