Job summary

Distributed Spectrum Inc. is hiring a Machine Learning Researcher, Specialist to bring modern ML to RF sensing and spectrum understanding. You’ll tackle problems where signal structure, propagation effects, interference, and edge deployment realities shape what “good” means.

The role spans research and deployment, collaborating across embedded, hardware, and mission teams. You will formulate problems, design experiments, develop models, and drive evaluations from data to deployable systems,

Qualifications

• Deep mathematical and modeling fundamentals.
• Strong hands-on experience with ML frameworks and experimental practice.
• Ability to formulate problems where implementation is as important as theory.

Responsibilities

• Formulate new ML problems in RF sensing and spectrum understanding.
• Design experiments and evaluation approaches reflecting real operating conditions.
• Build models for structured, noisy, and partially observed signal environments.
• Improve robustness across propagation and interference conditions.
• Optimize models for throughput, latency, and deployment constraints.
• Move research into release paths for real systems with proofs-of-concept.
• Use field performance to inform future models and tooling.
